  Ways to motivate the Witnesses

  okay, so if you were running the watchtower and noticed a slump in its activities, what would you do, how would you improve it or motivate the dubs?

  i'll start.

  1. issue a watchtower visa/mastercard.

  Simple. Pick a date at least 5 years but no more than 30 years from now. Work out some goobledegook reasoning on how this might be THE DATE for the end to come. Lay the groundwork slowly and subtly, a study article here, a convention talk there. Of course, never directly state anything that can come back to haunt them later. By 2006 you could have have some momentum going.

  Will this work? Will people be dumb enough to fall for this again? Of course!!

  Emails from elders and CO

  yesterday i decided to send an email to all the elders, ministerial servants, co's and do's on my address book.

  blondie had posted a series of links to articles relating to the abuse cases in the borg.

  rather than emailing the links, which i knew they wouldn't click on, i copied and pasted, about 12 articles to them.

  What a bunch of cowards they are!!!!

  I always go back to High Priest Eli vs. Phineas (Aaron's grandson who took the spear and killed the Israelite and the Midianite women) or Jehu.

  These elders all stand around wringing their hands, like Eli, its very bad, but what can we do?? If they were real men they would stand up and take action to clean house, regardless of who the wrongdoers were or what the legal and PR consequences would be.

  Gotta go with CG on this one, anytime a government starts restricting religious freedom, its starting down a slippery slope.

  And the cult/religion angle doesn't work. Who decides what is a religion and what is a cult? What happens when its your religion?

  I have no sympathy for the WTB&TS, but I see nothing to applaud here.

  Why is there a High Rate of Suicide among Jehovahs Witnesses?????

  hi guys.

  last week i was involed in a very distressing situation, going with a family to identify their mother who had commited suicide.. we are waiting for the coroner to release the body for the funneral.. but, so far this year a number of jw have commited suicide in england,why???.

  can any one throw a light why so many jw of good standing commit suicide,.

  my sister, who is still in, has just recently graduated from college (four year university) with a good degree and has landed a great job.

  its likely that she will never meet a jw man who is completely compatible with her, as she is educated, smart, and makes more money than about half her cong.

  You know this is probably more of a form letter that they send out. 99% of the dubs involved will simply reply to the WT, "forget the conditional part, keep it as a straight-out contribution to advance Kingdom? Interests." I doubt that many actually ask for the money back...
